‘Aquaman’ Director Reveals Amber Heard’s New Look As The Queen of Atlantis

Zack Snyder has a very specific look he loves to use in movies. He prefers to de-saturate colors, to keep things a bit darker and gloomier throughout. But that doesn’t mean that every movie set in the DC Comics Extended Universe is going to look like a Zack Snyder movie. We can already see a lot more color in Patty Jenkin’s Wonder Woman. The landscapes are more verdant, the costumes more reflective and, most notably, the red and blue in Wonder Woman’s signature outfit pop more.

And now it looks like another corner of the DCEU will be getting a bit of a color lift as well. The above picture, tweeted by Snyder, is Amber Heard as Mera, Queen of Atlantis from Justice League. But now Aquaman director James Wan has released the first image of Heard from his movie, and as you can tell, Wan likes a more vibrant look.

Aquaman will hit theaters on December 21, 2018. Before then Heard can be seen in Justice League on November 17, 2017. You can see her briefly in the trailer for it below.
