Exclusive Trailer: New ‘Smurfs: The Lost Village’ Feels Blue… in a Good Way

If you’re feeling blue, here’s something that will cheer you up: the new trailer for Smurfs: The Lost Village, a fully animated reinvention of the series that sends Smurfette and her friends through the Forbidden Forest on the hunt for others who may be like them. Defying Papa Smurf’s strict rule of avoiding the forest at all costs, she and best pals Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty set off to find a lost village they only know through legend.

Though there’s no more Neil Patrick Harris or Hank Azaria, this one boasts an all-star cast with Demi Lovato as Smurfette, along with Smurfs voiced by Julia Roberts, Ariel Winter, Joe Manganiello, Jack McBrayer, Danny Pudi and “All About That Bass” singer Meghan Trainor, who contributes an original song. Rainn Wilson takes on the voice of villain Gargamel. Even chef Gordon Ramsey voices a baker.

Watch the “Lost” trailer below, then get ready for the Smurfs’ arrival at your village’s local theater April 7.
