Spider-Man 3

Venom: We just heard that Marvel character Venom (Spider-Man 3, above) will not be appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, however, producer Amy Pascal says that the forthcoming Venom and Silver and Black (featuring Black Cat) will, indeed, take place in the same universe as Spider-Man: Homecoming: “They’ll be adjuncts to it, they may be different locations, but it will still all be in the same world. And they will be connected to each other as well.” She also teased that Spider-Man might appear in those movies. [ScreenCrush]

Brave New Jersey

Brave New Jersey Trailer: In 1938, residents of a small town in New Jersey believe they’re about to invaded by Martians because of what they hear on the radio, not realizing the “news” was actually Orson Welles’ skillful, fictional staging of War of the Worlds. The first Brave New Jersey trailer shows the lightly comic consequences. Tony Hale, Anna Camp, Erika Alexander and Raymond J. Barry star; the movie is expected in theaters later this year.
