Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: Director James Gunn previously announced that he will be writing and directing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set in 2014, chronology questions have been raised. Gunn has now confirmed that his sequel will take place after events in the next two installments in the Avengers series. [Twitter]


The Happytime Murders: Melissa McCarthy (Ghostbusters, above) will star alongside a cast of puppets in The Happytime Murders. It’s described as a raunchy comedy about two detectives who must solve a string of murders revolving around a classic puppet show. Brian Henson will direct. A Bad Moms Christmas: Susan Sarandon, Cheryl Hines and Christine Baranski (left to right, above) have joined the cast of A Bad Moms Christmas. They will portray the mothers of returning stars Kathryn Hahn, Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis, respectively. As might be expected from the title, the sequel will be set during the Christmas season as the mothers must prepare for the holidays. Look for the movie in theaters on November 3. [People]


Churchill Trailer: In a new trailer for Churchill, the emphasis is placed on the personal, as British Prime Minister Winston Churchill (Brian Cox) wrestles with the devastation of war in the tense 24 hours before D-Day in June 1944.
