Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Operation Finale: Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, above) is in final negotiations to star in and produce Operation Finale. It’s based on a true story about Israeli spies who hunted for Nazi general Adolf Eichmann in Argentina in the 1960s so that he could stand trial for his heinous crimes against humanity. Matthew Orton wrote the script; Chris Weitz, who cowrote Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is set to direct. [Deadline]

10 Cloverfield Lane

Cloverfield: Producer J.J. Abrams’ next movie in the Cloverfield universe (after 10 Cloverfield Lane, above) will be released on October 27, but which project will it be? God Particle, a thriller set in space, was set to hit theaters on February 24 before it was pulled entirely from the release calendar; at the same time, a new, unidentified Cloverfield movie was slated for an IMAX release on October 27. Since then, war thriller Overlord has been touted as another possible Cloverfield movie, though it’s still in the casting process. All signs continue to point to God Particle, though nothing has been confirmed. [Twitter]

Wreck-It Ralph

Wreck-It Ralph 2: The sequel to 2012’s Wreck-It Ralph (above) has a new title: Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2. John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jane Lynch and Jack McBrayer will all reprise the characters they voiced in the original. As previously announced, the movie will open in theaters on March 9, 2018.
