Killers of the Flower Moon: Director Martin Scorsese might team up with Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro to make a big-screen version of Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI. Academy Award winner Eric Roth wrote the screenplay based on David Grann’s book, which tells the true story of more than two dozen murders on the Osage Indian Reservation in Oklahoma in the 1920s, which all happened after oil made the Osage wealthy. The Legend of Tarzan

Mary Queen of Scots: Margot Robbie (The Legend of Tarzan, above) is in negotiations to star in Mary Queen of Scots. If things work out, she would portray Queen Elizabeth opposite Saoirse Ronan, who is already set to play the titular Mary. The two women were first cousins once removed who ruled during a tumultuous period in the 16th century. Beau Willimon (House of Cards) is writing the script; Josie Rourke will direct. [Variety]

Gemini Man: Ang Lee (above) in in negotiations to direct Gemini Man. It’s described as a “high-concept action-thriller,” following an aging hit man who wants to retire but must first defeat a clone of himself, 25 years younger. The project has been in various stages of development since 1997, but the desire to have the same actor play both roles has stymied previous efforts. [THR]
